Friends of the Raymond Library

Friends of the Raymond Library foster a close relationship between the Raymond Library and the citizens of Montville.

We treasure ideas and value Raymond Library as a vital community resource. Through used book sales and other fundraising events, we provide materials, services, and equipment for the library; including:

  • Children’s DVDs
  • Children’s special events
  • Adult authors & speakers
  • Museum passes
  • Community Open Art
  • Partnership with schools

Raymond Library is a private organization that serves the community of Montville as the only library in the town. The Friends group is a non-profit volunteer support group for the Raymond Library. We are autonomous from the Raymond Library and the Town of Montville.

We invite you to attend our monthly committee meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Raymond Library.

At the meetings we decide on programs, plan for the annual book sale, and discuss ways in which we can help augment the library with the purchases of materials and equipment and provide assistance where needed.
